Paul Martinez-Frias was born in Hertfordshire in 1929.

Father from Almeria (Andalucia) Spain; mother from The Wirral.

Formative years in English Prep school; French Lycee; Spanish Bachillerato and Art in Barcelona.

Yacht design in Lymington.

A developing career in art punctuated by migrating to Wales in 1975 to become fully committed to painting.

A number of galleries in England, and the Gala Placidia in Barcelona, regularly accepted his work but since 1982 his exclusive outlet has been the Spectrum Gallery
